My Research and Work

Unlocking Human Potential

I’m a Research Psychologist, dedicating my life to exploring and researching the processes and scientific mechanisms underlying human motivation and performance. Much of my work focuses on scaling and translating proven insights and strategies from research into real-world applications. As such, I hope to more directly connect individuals and organizations with insights from the literature, with the goal of empowering individuals to achieve their full potential.

I currently serve as a Research Associate at the Learning Research and Development Center (LRDC) based at the University of Pittsburgh, and as the Director for Learning Innovation at WGU Labs.

I earned my PhD in psychology from the University of Waterloo, after which I worked at Stanford University where I helped to co-found the College Transition Collaborative—one of the largest multi-institution collaborations to deliver proven psychological interventions to over 40,000 students—as well as the Stanford Interventions Lab—a collaborative research group committed to sharing and scaling proven insights from psychology to promote better performance and well-being.

I spend my of my time translating actionable research insights into practice through:

In this capacity, I have led 45 professional development workshops across the United States to help students, faculty, leaders, athletes, and corporations better understand the psychology of success, and equip those groups with the tools they need to perform at their full potential.
